Frank Iero Announces UK & EU Tour

Frank Iero and the Patience recently announced a UK and European tour, supported by Dave Haus and The Mermaid, The Homeless Gospel Choir and Paceshifters. This also came with news of their new EP, Keep The Coffins Coming, which will be released on September 22nd this year via Hassle Records.

Speaking about the tour on their Facebook page, Frank Iero and the Patience said:

European Friends!

The Patience and I just decided that being in Europe three times already this year wasn’t quite enough, so we are planning to come back for even more fun in September and October. Our old friends in Dave Hause and The Mermaid, The Homeless Gospel Choir and Paceshifters will be joining us for dates in England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Tickets go on sale 9am on Friday 28th July: http://frank-iero.com/dates

To properly commemorate the tour, we are going to release a limited edition EP (through Hassle Records) called Keep The Coffins Coming on September 22nd. We recorded it with one of our hero’s Steve Albini last year, in Chicago.
— Frank Iero

Keep The Coffins Coming was recorded at Eclectical audio in Chicago by Steve Albini. Speaking about the experience, Frank says

“When we were done touring ‘STOMACHACHES.’, I talked to my manager, Paul, about what we should do. I had my bucket list and one of the things on there was to work with Steve Albini. Paul asked how long I’d wanted to work with Steve and I was like, ‘Since I was, like, eleven!’ I wanted to make a Steve Albini record! Paul said he’d call him and I was like, ‘You can’t do that… that would be weird. Don’t do it.’ And he was like, ‘That’s my job!’ He called him, Steve said he could do it and he had three days. Next phone call I made was U-Haul; I fuckin’ packed the U-Haul up and drove the band to Chicago. I got to record an EP with my friends and one of my heroes in this, like, giant firehouse building in Chicago. The EP is this missing link between ‘STOMACHACHES.’ and ‘Parachutes’. It’s everything I wanted it to be. It’s fuckin’ awesome!”
